Belo returns to Portugal on June 27 for his Rock in Rio Lisboa debut, performing on the Super Bock Stage as part of Legends Day.

He started out as a cavaquinho player in São Paulo-based groups before joining Soweto in 1993, where he rose to prominence as a vocalist. With the group, he released albums such as Ventos Areais and Refém do Coração, selling around one million copies and establishing his nationwide success. In 1999, the album Farol das Estrelas surpassed one and a half million copies sold, further consolidating his success.

The following year, after touring Europe, Portugal, and Africa, he launched his solo career with the album Desafio. The album exceeded one million sales and achieved double platinum status, driven by tracks such as "Tua Boca" and "Desafio."

Throughout his career, he has released several successful albums and collaborated with artists such as Neguinho da Beija-Flor, Alcione, Negra Li, Emicida, and Zeca Pagodinho. This has established him as one of the most popular artists in Brazil.

He continues to stand out with new releases while maintaining a strong connection with audiences and remains one of the most in-demand artists, even during challenging periods such as the pandemic.
