Blasted Mechanism are set to make history at Rock in Rio Lisboa 2026.
Known for their radical creativity, bold visual identity and futuristic, boundary-pushing performances, the band takes the Palco Super Bock stage for the first time on 21 June — bringing an extraordinary, high-energy show to Cidade do Rock.
Since 1995, Blasted Mechanism have built one of the most distinctive careers in Portuguese music. Their unique fusion of alternative rock, electronic elements and traditional influences, combined with a visually striking and futuristic stage aesthetic, made them a defining cultural phenomenon for the 2000s generation.
With three decades of history, Valdjiu, Guitshu, Fred Stone, Riic Wolf, Ary and Winga have earned accolades such as the Golden Globe for “Best Portuguese Band” and three MTV Best Portugal Act nominations. Their explosive live shows and hits like Blasted Empire and the album Sound in Light cemented their reputation on national and international stages.
Celebrating 30 years of music, the band returned to the spotlight with anniversary concerts that reignited the passion of long-time fans. This December, they release their new album Blasted ॐ, marking a new creative chapter and reaffirming their innovative spirit.
At Rock in Rio Lisboa, Blasted Mechanism promise to bring all their force, originality and futuristic vision — delivering a nostalgic yet forward-looking celebration for fans old and new.
