Carlão confirmed for Rock in Rio Lisbon 2026
Rock in Rio Lisbon brought music to the pitch at the opening of the Allianz Cup Final, in a special moment that also marked a new confirmation for the 2026 line-up: Carlão will perform on 28 June, on the Music Valley Stage.
The performance at the Allianz Cup Final, the result of a partnership between Rock in Rio Lisbon and Liga Portugal, symbolises the coming together of two of Portugal’s greatest passions — music and football — and served as the perfect stage to announce the return of one of the most influential artists in Portuguese music to the City of Rock.
Carlão arrives at Rock in Rio Lisbon with a fully renewed live show, bringing to the Music Valley Stage the energy of a new album scheduled for release in 2026, alongside a career that has spanned generations. A founding member of Da Weasel and a key figure in Portuguese urban music, Carlão has built a career defined by authenticity, a deep connection to Portuguese culture and songs that live on in the country’s collective memory.
Following landmark tracks such as Os Tais, Agulha no Palheiro, Viver Pra Sempre and Assobia Para o Lado, as well as more recent releases blending hip-hop, tradition and social commentary, Carlão promises an intense, celebratory and emotional concert — perfectly fitting for a day that already stands out on the festival’s line-up.
28 June now gains its first confirmation, reinforcing a carefully curated programme and an edition that promises, once again, to turn Lisbon into a global meeting point for music, culture and unforgettable moments.
