Celebrated for her raw, emotional and timeless delivery, she emerged at a remarkably young age as one of Britain’s most important artists, building a career rooted in musical truth, creative freedom and a deep connection with audiences.

Joss Stone is one of the most authentic and distinctive voices in contemporary soul music. Celebrated for her raw, emotional and timeless delivery, she emerged at a remarkably young age as one of Britain’s most important artists, building a career rooted in musical truth, creative freedom and a deep connection with audiences.

Her breakthrough came in 2003, at just 16 years old, with The Soul Sessions — an instant phenomenon that topped the UK R&B chart, achieved triple-platinum status in the UK and earned platinum certifications worldwide. The success continued with Mind, Body & Soul (2004), which reached No. 1 on the UK Albums Chart and produced You Had Me, one of the defining songs of her career.

Over the years, Joss Stone has won a GRAMMY® Award and two BRIT Awards, including Best R&B Performance for her collaboration with John Legend and Van Hunt. She became one of the best-selling British soul artists of the 2000s, with an estimated 14–15 million records sold globally. While deeply rooted in classic soul, her music naturally crosses into funk, R&B and vintage Black music traditions, always guided by her unmistakable voice and artistic integrity.

In 2014, she launched the ambitious Total World Tour, performing in almost every country on the planet — including destinations rarely visited by international artists — using music as a universal language of unity and human connection. In recent years, she released Never Forget My Love and Merry Christmas, Love (2022) and continues her philanthropic work through the Joss Stone Foundation, supporting more than 200 charities worldwide.
With a strong personal bond to Portugal and a loyal local following, Joss Stone now returns as headliner of the Super Bock Stage, symbolically opening a new chapter focused on intimacy, musical identity and emotional connection — promising a powerful and unforgettable performance at Rock in Rio Lisboa.
