The 100-day countdown to the 20th anniversary edition of Rock in Rio Lisbon begins and brings surprises.
There’s less than 100 days to go until Rock in Rio Lisbon drops the curtain, launches its iconic anthem and opens its doors to the public, who are eagerly awaiting this very special moment - the 20th anniversary edition of the festival in Portugal. Days being crossed off the calendar and the weekends of 15, 16, 22 and 23 of June are getting closer and closer! There’s already plenty of reasons why no one should miss out on this 10th edition, but there’s still many news to be announced.
The surprises keep coming and the festival's New Stage is the latest. With a new home - in a venue that paints the Tagus River as its backdrop – the City of Rock is being built with more space, with the capacity to welcome more people and where the stages are given more prominence. The move to Parque Tejo-Lisbon makes it possible to create another New Stage dedicated to music, to host the best of national and international talent, in a mix of genres and sounds ranging from pop to rock, and from trap to hip hop, by emerging artists. Lauren Spencer Smith and Iñigo Quintero are the first confirmations for this New Stage and they will be performing on June 16th.
