#IGoByTransport at the 10th edition of Rock in Rio Lisbon

05.22.2024
Less than a month before the 10th edition of Rock in Rio Lisbon, we have joined forces with Via Verde and ten other partners - CARRIS, CP, Metro, Fertagus, FlixBus, Rede Expressos, Gipsyy, TTSL - Transtejo Soflusa -, CARRIS Metropolitana and Telpark - in a sustainable mobility plan.

As well as ensuring greater comfort and safety, the proposed plan will also have a positive impact on one of our main pillars, sustainability. Bearing in mind that public transport represents more than 50 per cent of the festival's carbon footprint, we intend not only to reduce the carbon footprint of the event and the public, but also to encourage the adoption of more sustainable solutions in everyone's daily lives, generating greater commitment to the future we all aspire to.

Whether you're coming from the North, Centre or South, we've prepared a Mobility Plan that will help all those who want to get to the Parque Tejo site with transport options and extended timetables, to live the best experience ever, without rushing, traffic or worrying about parking.

How to get to Rock in Rio Lisboa

VIA VERDE

Via Verde has joined as Mobility Partner for this 10th edition with the main aim of simplifying and speeding up the entire mobility process to and from the festival.
As part of the mobility project, the action was designed to make it easier for the public to get to the event and reduce the impact of travelling.

GARE DO ORIENTE – The big meeting point

In this 10th edition, the emblematic Parque das Nações station is the neighbour of the new City of Rock, and so Gare do Oriente will be the meeting point for those going to Rock in Rio Lisboa.
  • There will be regular shuttles on CARRIS buses with a direct connection between Gare do Oriente - Rock in Rio Lisboa - Gare do Oriente, from 12.30 a.m. until 1.30 a.m., with a special reinforcement of the fleet from 00.00 a.m. (the end time of the last concert on the World Stage), ensuring that everyone can catch the rest of the transport at Gare do Oriente.
  • To access the CARRIS shuttle, simply pre-book it on the Rock in Rio Lisboa App, available soon on the App Store and Google Play Store.
  • The price of the round-trip CARRIS shuttle is 1 euro if you buy in advance and 2 euros if you buy on the day of departure. Buying the CARRIS shuttle ticket in advance - via the app - avoids waiting in queues to board the CARRIS shuttle.
  • Those who choose to use the CARRIS shuttle can pick up their drink (which costs 1 euro inside the venue) free of charge from one of the festival bars.
