The Flight: Lisbon’s sky becomes a stage!

In 2026, Rock in Rio Lisboa will transform the capital’s sky into a true dream stage. The festival will debut The Flight, a never-before-seen aerial show created exclusively for the 11th edition, designed to take the festival’s excitement beyond the traditional stages.

Every day of the festival, between 8:00 PM and 9:00 PM, the audience will be invited to look up and witness a truly unique moment: five Yak-52 aircraft, piloted by the Portuguese-Spanish team Yakstars — Europe’s largest civilian aerobatics team — will perform a synchronized aerial ballet accompanied by an original soundtrack, specially composed for the show and synchronized with the Palco Mundo sound.

The spectacle will be even more spectacular with over 400 daytime pyrotechnics and colored smoke, painting the sky with the colors of Rock in Rio Lisboa. With the Tagus River and the Vasco da Gama Bridge as a natural backdrop, the result will be a breathtaking, cinematic moment that promises to amaze everyone present.
