In 2003 the team flew to the other side of the Atlantic, and the Portuguese capital quickly became home. It's a city kissed by the Tagus River, with 7 hills that inspire us every day, full of life, culture, museums, street art, bars and delicious restaurants. Lisbon is a breath of fresh air and a handful of discoveries!

20 years

In 1985 we dreamed big, that dream came true and met with challenges, tears, sweat, music, dance, rhythm, encounters, hugs and kisses. In 2003 we crossed the Atlantic Ocean and that dream became even bigger. With our hearts pounding with emotion, we put up the first Rock City in Parque da Bela Vista. Rock in Rio is reborn in the Portuguese capital and Rock in Rio Lisboa is now preparing for its 10th edition, 20 years after its first in Portugal. Come and live this experience with us!

Since 1985 For a Better World

Rock in Rio For A Better World is a vision of sustainability that runs through the entire culture of the event. From its foundation to the implementation of each of the festivals it has organised in Brazil, the United States of America, Spain and Portugal. In 2020, we publicly committed to sustainability goals for 2030, in line with the UN's Sustainable Development Goals.
